PPG Paints Arena is loved by us, first and foremost. Luck brought us to the correct line for entering the building, and we were among the initial attendees. We usually opt for tickets in the back row across from the stage due to the steep upper level. At 7:30, The Struts took the stage. We were equally thrilled to see them and The Halloween Silent Scream: Vinyl to Viral Midnight MasqueRAVE, a highly recommended show! Their set lasted about 45 minutes. The Halloween Silent Scream: Vinyl to Viral Midnight MasqueRAVE began at 8:45, with the first 5 or 6 songs staying faithful to the recorded versions. It felt like a greatest hits compilation! Dave Grohl's outstanding voice was occasionally punctuated by random screams, which, though cool, were quite loud. The rest of the performance seemed stretched out, occasionally overly long for our liking, with a significant amount of banter. Regrettably, we had to depart early in order to catch our ride. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience. The band certainly knows how to rock.
